Finished graduate school, back for the yearly post. :)

All of this talk of dissertation-ing reminds me of this fuzzy memory I have of working on a long, long document. It's still 2008, right?

All kidding aside, I did finally finish graduate school in August and find the past year to be kinda fuzzy. Since I finished my defense in June I spent the summer making jams, jellies, applesauce, and canning foods. Also, I've learned how to sew, worked more on knitting (socks, specifically), and crocheted all kinds of things. I guess something has to take up the time, and I have to make up for all the time I spent on *only* writing. Hobbies need finished too, people!

Now, I have warm blankets I made, foods I canned, and other good things hanging around that I can enjoy (like a husband & son). It really doesn't seem real that I finished, but I did...
